What Happens in Vegas... |

You know that saying…”what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”, right? I had an interesting thought-- what if we take that saying, and substitute “the past” for where it reads “Vegas”. So now the saying would read, “what happens in the past, stays in the past.” Can I get an amen? My meditation lesson for today stated, “unless the past is over in my mind, the real world [will] escape my sight.” Layman’s term? Can’t see what’s in front of you while staring out the rear view mirror. Sometimes I find I live in the past so much, my “being present” is really being present in my past. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What I find so valuable about being in the true present moment vs being in the past is this: 1. Ego lives in the past. So when my head is in my past, I’m living an ego-driven life. 2. Forgiveness comes when I let go of the past. If I am to move forward, I must forgive my past, to see the truth.
Being mindfully present offers a world ego does not want us to see. A world without attack, guilt or suffering. This world can only be found in our Now. Time to come Home. We’ll leave the Light on… -God
